intensa atividade garimpeira relacionada {\`a}s
Contudo,
an{\'a}loga {\`a}s outras regi{\~o}es remotas da Amaz{\^o}nia
possui poucos estudos geol{\'o}gicos e mapeamentos
sistem{\'a}ticos. Este trabalho visa a interpreta{\c{c}}{\~a}o
de imagens de sensoriamento remoto SAR (JERS-1, RADARSAT-1 e GEMS)
e {\'o}ptica (Landsat-5/TM), dados aerogeofisicos e produtos
redu{\c{c}}{\~a}o do contraste atribu{\'{\i}}do {\`a}
subjacente, mostraram resultados pontuais satisfat{\'o}rios. A
transforma{\c{c}}{\~a}o 11-IS.
as mudan{\c{c}}as litol{\'o}gicas. A imagem integrada TM (4X5)
do Sinal Anal{\'{\i}}tico mostrou uma {\'o}tima
principais estruturas regionais. A integra{\c{c}}{\~a}o digital
caracter{\'{\i}}sticas espectrais provenientes dos dados TM,
seja, equivalente a do dado SAR/JERS-1. A crescente
disponibilidade de dados de sensoriamento remoto orbital tomou a
aplica{\c{c}}{\~a}o da an{\'a}lise estereosc{\'o}pica menos
restritiva. Neste trabalho foram utilizados v{\'a}rios
estereopares SAR e h{\'{\i}}bridos (SAR e {\'o}ptico), conforme
a disponibilidade e o desempenho no que tange a
interpreta{\c{c}}{\~a}o estrutural. No setor oeste,
RADARSAT x GEMS e GEMS x TM (4X5). As an{\'a}lises
fotointerpretativas monosc{\'o}picas e estereosc{\'o}picas
caracter{\'{\i}}sticas litol{\'o}gicas e estruturais. Entre as
O estudo do relacionamento entre essas
dire{\c{c}}{\~o}es estruturais possibilitou a

rhombo-chasms, respectivamente. ABSTRACT: The Northern region of
the Roraima State has as characteristic a surface covered of
sparse bush vegetation with a relief that varies from flat,
slightly wavy to mountainous in the eastern sector while in the
western sector predominates a rougher relief and a vegetation of
dense forest. In the 70's and 80's last decade this region was
submitted to intense activity related to gold and diamond
extraction. However, similar to other remote Brazilian Amazonian
regions there are few geological studies and systematized mapping.
This work aims at interpretation of remote sensing images SAR
(JERS-1, RADARSAT-1 and GEMS) optic images ( Landsat-5/TM),
airborne geographical data and integrated products with the goal
of contributing to the geological mapping of this region, with
emphasis to the structural regional control. Remote sensing images
were submitted to ali the stages of preprocessing, with a
highlight for the geometrical correction through
orthorectification method, except for the images SAR/GEMS. The
methods applied on the optic images, for the reduction of the
contrast attributed to the vegetation with the consequent
highlight of the underlying lithology, have shown punctual
results. The digital integration of the SAR and optic images
together with the airborne geophysical data (gamma-ray and
magnetic) was based IHS transformation. The TM image (4X5) showed
the best performance in the substitution of the 1 component,
considering the highlights of the textural attributes of relief
and drainage for ali the sectors of the arca. The integated
products (TC, K and Th) turned more efficient the discrimination
of the several tectonicstratigraphic units. For the variation of
the colors and of the textural standard were good indicators of
lithological changes. The integrated TM image (4X5) \& F Factor
showed an excellent correspondence between areas of anomalies in K
with those of the massif ganitic, mainly those of S1S, suggesting
the occurrence of hydrothermal alteration zone and of associated
ores In relation to til( matmetic data, the integrated TM product
(4X5) \& Phase of the Analytic Signai showed good correlation
with some anomalies and the alignments of drainage and more
prominent relief that are representative of the main regional
structures. With the digital integration between data SAR/JERS-1
and TM by means of the Wavelet transformed technique (DMW) it was
generated an image that preserves the spectral characteristic
derived of the TM data and the topographical features supplied by
the SAR image as well, in a space resolution of 15 m, equivalent
to that of the SAR/JER-1. The growing availability of orbital
remote sensing data has made the application of the analysis less
restrictive. In this work several SAR and hybrid (SAR and optical)
stereo pairs was used according to the availability and the
performance in relation to the structural interpretation. In the
western sector, where forest vegetation predominates, the JERS x
RADARSAT (S3D and S5D) and JERS x TM (4x5) supplied the most
significant structural data, while in the eastern sector, where
savannas predominate, the most important contribution were owed to
the RADARSAT x GEMS and GEMS x TM (4x5), The monoscopic and
stereoscopic photointerpretation analysis employed on the remote
sensing images and of the integrated products, plus the field data
and of previous geological mapping allowed the interpretation of
the main lithological and structural of the arca. The E W, WNW {}
ESE ( ± N7OW), NE SW and NNE SSW (N20 30E) directions are the most
common trends observed in this arca, by the application of remote
sensing techniques. The study of the relationship between these
structural directions enabled the characterization of a regime
predominantly ductile , ductile {} brittle and brittle
transpressive with local transtensive components, distributed in
three phases of tectonic movement during the Proterozoic.
Associated to these efforts occurred the emplacement of granitic
massives and of the development of the Tepequ{\'e}m sedimentary
basin, related to the releasing bends structures in ductile and
rhombo-chasms, respectively.",
